Theraphy With
Wendy Smith
Your First Sessions
Your initial assessment will help Wendy learn why you’re seeking professional help at this time. The first three to four sessions are for evaluation and exploration and for Wendy to get a full understanding of the presenting problem. This is also a time for both you and Wendy to determine if the therapeutic arrangement will be a good fit.
In the first few sessions you will also discuss working arrangements, such as fees, scheduling, appointment frequency, and general policies for her practice, such as confidentially and expectations.
Who Wendy Treats
Wendy works with individuals as young as two, through adolescence, and into adulthood and middle age. She also works extensively with couples and families, including those who have children with special needs.
In all cases, it’s important for patients and their families to recognize that therapy is a process, not a solution in and of itself. And for the most effective process, patients should be motivated and willing to work on themselves.
Fees & Insurance
Fees start at $275 for a 50-minute session for individuals, and 60 minutes for couples.
Wendy does not accept insurance; however, she can easily provide the necessary documentation for patients and families to seek reimbursement directly from their insurance company.
In certain circumstances, Wendy will also work with patients on a payment plan.
